2022 client and stakeholder research findings

Thank you to all those who participated in VRQA's annual research.

The results from our 2022 client and stakeholder research indicate most clients and stakeholders continue to be supportive of the VRQA's performance and its role.

Home educators and registered training organisations (RTOs) provided high levels of positive feedback. Among other education providers, such as independent schools and school boarding premises, the VRQA and its key regulatory functions also continue to be viewed positively. Awareness of our role in the apprentice and trainee sector remained steady.

The research findings also show high levels of engagement with Victoria's new Child Safe Standards.

In absolute terms, all key service and satisfaction ratings remain high. Over 9 in 10 independent schools and RTOs consider the VRQA to be an effective regulator.

However, results showed a decline in some key metrics for independent schools and highlighted opportunities for us to improve our services.

We're listening to this feedback and working to clarify our communication about the requirements of school registration.

We're also undertaking a website review to ensure it is easier for all education providers to access our content and resources.

Thank you to all those who participated in the 2022 research and provided valuable feedback. The findings have informed the work we'll do this year and help us understand how we can engage proactively with you on the regulatory issues impacting your sector.
