Updated Guidelines to the Minimum Standards and Requirements for School Registration were published on 15 June 2020. They came into effect for new schools on 1 January 2021 and as of 1 July 2021 they apply to all existing schools.
The updated Guidelines include changes to the not-for-profit requirements for schools with early learning centres. The amendment allows schools to use money, other than government funding, and space within their property for early learning centres that are a feeder for school enrolments.
