There has been a change to the way trade papers are issued. If you complete your apprenticeship on or after 1 July 2021 you will now automatically receive your trade paper. Newly qualified apprentices will no longer be required to submit an application to receive their trade papers.
The current process of applying through the
Trade Paper portal will still be required by individuals who completed their apprenticeship before 1 July 2021.
Trade papers remain free for eligible apprentices who are receiving them for the first time in relation to the completion of that specific apprenticeship.
