FAQs: Skill set information for RTOs

Skill set FAQSThe VRQA has published frequently asked questions for registered training organisations (RTOs) intending to deliver skill sets as part of the Victorian Government's new Skills First Skill Sets initiative.

Skill sets are short courses. They can be made up of units from one or more qualifications already listed on the National Register. Skill sets help learners access rapid, accredited training in high-need fields, such as infection control.

The FAQs explain:

  • how skill sets work, as compared to units and qualifications
  • where and when RTOs must update their scope to deliver a skill set
  • compliance requirements for skill sets.
