The VRQA welcomes Jonathan Kaplan as CEO of our organisation. Jonathan commenced in the role on 14 December 2020.
Jonathan joins the VRQA from the Department of Education and Training, where he directed the Integrity, Assurance and Executive Services Division. In that role, much of his focus was on the department's Integrity Reform Program and the establishment of an Employee Health, Safety and Wellbeing Division.
Jonathan brings a strong background in governance, risk management and integrity. His appointment makes sure the VRQA has the leadership it needs to continue regulating for quality education environments and outcomes in our state.
Following a handover period, our previous CEO Lynn Glover officially retires on 31 December. The VRQA Board and staff thank Lynn for her strong leadership and congratulate her on an exemplary career regulating Victoria's education system.
