If you’re considering home schooling due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, speak with your school principal first.
You most likely do not need to register for home schooling.
School-supported learning at home or an approved leave of absence may be better short-term options for you and your child. Your school probably has a plan in place.
If you are thinking of a long-term arrangement, home schooling registration may be appropriate. It requires you to take overall responsibility for your child’s educational program, including preparing a learning plan.
