To help schools understand our approach to monitoring compliance, we have published our School Compliance Framework.
It explains the strategies we use, determined by the risk of harm that a school’s attitude to compliance indicates during a specific or general review.
It also details how we classify schools as low-, medium- or high-risk, and the decisions we may take after a review.
Our goal is to support schools to become more engaged and voluntarily compliant.
