Meeting the child safe standards in your education and training organisation.
The Victorian Government implemented child safe standards for organisations that work with children (i.e. students under the age of 18 years).
Compliance for the following education and training organisations is being managed through existing regulatory arrangements.
A variety of other organisations that work with children are required to meet the child safe standards. For more information, visit the Department of Health and Human Services website.
The Department of Health and Human Services website provides information about reporting concerns about a child’s safety to the Victoria Police and other agencies.
The child safe standards also apply to non-school senior secondary.
The Guidelines for Non-School Senior Secondary Education Providers: Minimum Standards for Registration to Provide an Accredited Senior Secondary Course have been updated to reflect the requirement to meet child safe standards.

Organisations that provide overseas secondary student exchange programs are required to meet the child safe standards.
This applies to school, non-school and student exchange organisations.
The Guidelines for Student Exchange Programs reflects this requirement.
