About the BuildUP campaign
If you're a Victorian woman or non-binary apprentice in building and construction who's not getting a fair go, the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) has launched the BuildUP campaign to help you.
We're working to ensure that all women building and construction apprentices are treated with respect and receive quality training.
As a woman apprentice, your employer needs to provide you with:
- a safe workplace
- appropriate supervision
- access to the tools and equipment you need to learn the skills for your qualification.
If you're not receiving this in your apprenticeship, we can help.
You can contact us to get help for yourself or someone you're concerned about.
The hotline is open 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday for the next 2 months.
You can leave a message at any time and remain anonymous if you wish.
SpeakUP on social media
The VRQA invites all Victorian apprentices and stakeholders connected to the building and construction industry to help promote the BuildUP campaign by sharing campaign resources on social media.
