Becoming an apprentice or trainee

Getting started

The Australian Apprenticeship Support Network is the nationwide advisory service for apprentices and trainees.

Your first step is to contact an Apprenticeship Network provider in your area. They will tell you everything you need to know about entering into a training contract.

Be aware when starting your apprenticeship or traineeship that your employer has 14 days to sign and register your training contract with your Apprenticeship Network provider.

Are you the parent of an apprentice or trainee under 18? You can enquire about training contracts on their behalf.
